THE DRIVE TOWARDS FOOD SECURITY IN NORTHERN KENYA
Over 2 Million communities living in northern kenya are pastoralist and have long experienced food and water shortage
.The Kenya Red Cross and partners supported by you the donor have embarked on sustainable food security initiatives, this includes drilling of boreholes which provide safe drinking water to over 250,000 households.
Food security through climate change and adaptive farming technology which uses green houses in arid areas has made over 100,000 households food secure for the last 2 years and they now no longer rely on food aid
