The human resource (HR) is a support unit within the organisation. Its objective is to ensure that the staff are highly skilled, motivated and willing to stay. This will be achieved by strengthening the recruitment processes, continuous training opportunities to all, enhancing the reward and recognition systems and grievance handling among others. In the year 2011 a job evaluation was carried out to improve on the performance management tool this will enable the staff set realistic goals that will align to the new strategy. This evaluation sought to address issues of role ambiguity, reduce conflicts and improve on service delivery. In 2012 the HR unit will facilitate comprehensive induction and orientation exercises, strengthen HR Policy dissemination to the regions, and advise management on emerging trends in line with best practise.The HR unit will promote teamwork through activities that increase staff interaction and encourage experiential training. This will promote individual talents for the benefit of the society. The HR unit will complete the automation of most of its processes, which will enhance internal communication. The HR unit aims to promote an enabling work environment that enhances family life balance.
