Information Communication and Technology (ICT) unit provides first line ICT support and enhances the connectivity to the Headquarters, Regional offices and Branches so as to improve data and information flow. The unit also installs HF and VHF radio systems, PABX and other ICT infrastructure for improved communication.
In 2012 the unit focuses to empower the Society with state of the art equipment and software that will contribute towards operational excellence. Plans are underway to document, improve and automate business processes through the improvement of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. ICT plans to not only increase access to IT services but also, overhaul ICT infrastructure to improve the connectivity and ICT tools across theSociety. This will stem the challenges that come about from geographical disparities and deploy cost effective voice solutions to regions and branches countrywide. ICT unit strives to engage the public via social media channels to increase visibility online and bolster generation of online funding. The Unit will also push for proper resource utilisation and improved knowledge management.
